Jennifer Lawrence Crushes Meghan Markle 'Copycat', You Never Have Original Ideas

Meghan Markle never fails to push the boundaries of secondhand embarrassment, and just when you think she couldn’t be any more cringeworthy, she somehow manages to outdo herself.

Jennifer Lawrence Crushes Meghan Markle 'Copycat', You Never Have Original Ideas

In a spectacle of forced quirkiness, she recently shared a behind-the-scenes clip from her upcoming Netflix series With Love, Meghan. True to form, the clip vanished from Instagram almost as quickly as Prince Harry’s last ounce of dignity. With only days left before the premiere, Meghan took to social media to post what can only be described as an over-the-top attempt at seeming effortlessly cool and charming—clearly inspired by the naturally funny and relatable Jennifer Lawrence.

The end result? A painfully contrived montage of exaggerated expressions, forced laughter, and an excessive number of outfit changes that could leave even a Broadway performer dizzy. Throughout the video, Meghan twirls, dances, and giggles with the crew, donning a series of carefully curated beige ensembles that scream, I have no personality, but please think I’m effortlessly chic. Of course, Prince Harry makes his obligatory appearance, looking as awkward as ever, because no Meghan project is complete without dragging him along for moral support.

Jennifer Lawrence became beloved for her authentic goofiness—tripping at the Oscars, making self-deprecating jokes, and embracing her flaws. Meghan, on the other hand, seems to have studied quirkiness like a science experiment, carefully selecting mannerisms in an attempt to convince the world she’s just like the rest of us. The problem is that none of it feels genuine. Watching her perform is like watching someone throw designer spaghetti at the wall, hoping something sticks—except nothing ever does.

One of the most exhausting things about Meghan is her ever-changing persona. One day, she’s a serious humanitarian, the next, a sultry siren, and now she’s apparently the Duchess of Dorkiness. It’s a never-ending rebrand that leaves the public wondering who the real Meghan Markle actually is. And, of course, the timing of her Instagram post was no coincidence. It just so happened to go live on the same day Prince William and Princess Catherine were visiting Wales. What are the odds? Then again, Meghan has a well-documented habit of scheduling her “big” moments to coincide with actual royal engagements.

With With Love, Meghan set to premiere soon, the real question is—who is this show even for? The average viewer craves authenticity, not someone playing dress-up in a new persona every five minutes. The supposed theme of gardening, cooking, and hosting tips is almost laughable, considering Meghan has never exactly been known as a domestic goddess. Realistically, her idea of “hosting” likely involves hiring a Michelin-starred chef and then taking credit for the meal.

To add to the spectacle, Harry makes yet another guest appearance because, let’s be honest, what’s a Meghan production without Prince Numnuts tagging along? Even their beloved beagle, Guy, makes a brief cameo—a bittersweet moment given that he passed away last year. Though, if we’re being honest, even the dog was probably rolling his eyes at Meghan’s antics.

Her relentless attempts at reinvention have gone from mildly amusing to downright tragic. If she truly wants to embrace quirkiness, she should at least aim for something genuine rather than this calculated, soulless performance. Even South Park’s parody of her felt more flattering than reality. So here’s some free advice, Meghan—go touch some grass, take a break from the constant rebranding, and just exist. At this point, even Jennifer Lawrence is probably watching this disaster unfold and thinking, Girl, just stop.
