How did Alan Rickman spend his last day on the set of the Harry Potter movies?

The death of Alan Rickman, on January 14, 2016, has undoubtedly been one of the most shocking in the entertainment world. The actor was 69 years old when he lost the battle against pancreatic cancer, but he transcended for having marked an entire generation that grew up with the wizard boy films.

Of course, he was remembered by everyone during the Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts special, released in early January.

Rickman gave life to Severus Snape, one of the most beloved characters in the saga due to his great complexity. The special episode ended by showing the scene between Snape and Dumbledore, where the former reveals that his Patronus assumed the same form as Harry Potter's mother, Lily, whom he loved all along. "After all this time?" Dumbledore asks, and Snape replies, 'Always.'"

Now that it is six years since his departure, fans have flooded social networks with messages of love for him, as well as lessons he left behind.

“There are no words to begin to describe how much we love and miss this man, how precious he is to us. It's been 6 years but he's still living with us, and he always will be. We will never forget the tremendous actor and exceptional human being that Alan Rickman was,” one user wrote.
Severus Snape had an encyclopedic knowledge of magic in fact, it was his concoction that allowed Dumbledore to extend his life after being cursed by one of Voldemort's horcruxes. Although his knowledge of the Dark Arts led many to believe that he had a penchant for evil, it actually allowed him to fend off dark spells and Harry, Dumbledore and Hogwarts along the way.

Unlike the villains in the series who fed on hate, Snape ended up surprising us with the fact that his main engine was love.

After suffering a stroke in 2015, Rickman was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite the great popularity that he enjoyed, the actor always kept the details of his health problem relatively private.

Before the saga, he already had a wide variety of films throughout his career, earning critical acclaim throughout.

In the months after his death, fans learned even more about the heroic way Rickman lived through his final days, as well as the admiration that show business, friends and family had for him.

Daniel Radcliffe, who brought Harry Potter to life, posted a moving tribute to the actor after learning of his death.

“[Alan Rickman] is. . . one of the most loyal and supportive people I have ever met in the film industry. He was very encouraging of me both on set and in the years after Potter. I'm pretty sure he came and saw everything I did on stage in both London and New York. I didn't have to do that. I know other people who have been friends with him for much, much longer than I have, and they all say, 'If you call Alan, it doesn't matter where he is in the world or how busy he is with what he's doing, he'll get in contact with you in a day”

In 1988, Rickman made his feature film debut in the hit movie Die Hard, playing the villainous Hans Gruber. Rickman became a fan favorite after the film's release, following his work on Die Hard with roles in such films as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Truly, Madly, Deeply and Galaxy Quest. He also became involved in theater with the production Les Liaisons Dangereuses, for which he gained wide acclaim.

In his career, he was the recipient of multiple nominations and awards, including a Golden Globe, the SAG and an Emmy for Best Actor for Rasputin, as well as a BAFTA for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
