Mad Max: Fury Road Guitarist Backstory Revealed
Mad Max: Fury Road is a box office hit and instantly became a cult classic. Now, there is a character who is just as or more famous and it is that guitarist that we see but we don't know anything about him. Only he plays some memorable riffs in the middle of the desert chase.
The guy in question is the guitarist iOTA (pseudonym for Sean Hape) and the character is called Coma-Doof Warrior.
iONA itself has revealed the story of this disturbing but charismatic character: “Yes, I know that George [Miller] said that Immortan Joe found Coma in a cave and took him under his protection and learned to be a musician. I have embellished the story. Basically, my story is that Coma was found with his mother's head after she was murdered. Immortan Joe finds him and Coma rips her mother's face off and makes a mask out of it, to honor her when he goes to war.” He also revealed that the red suit was his idea.
