Aespa announces new mini-album 'Girls'

After the resounding success of "Savage", the K-Pop group announces their second mini-album

Announced this Tuesday (31) through social media, aespa, the Korean group made up of divas Ningning, Winter, Karina and Giselle, is set to make their comeback with the mini-album titled Girls. The album has a release date scheduled for July 8th.

His first and last work was Savage, a solid “debut” composed of hits and concept. The mini-album reached number 20 on the Billboard Hot 200. Since that first project, the artistic aspect and aesthetic has always been very characteristic (as are most K-Pop artists) of the group. With futuristic and other-level features (referring to the wonderful single “Next Level“), the aespa seem to be cohesive and certain of what they want to serve in the teaser released on the networks.

The logo even resembles the artwork on Post by Bjork. Did the divas get inspired? Below is a comparison of the art present in Post's booklet and the cover of the new mini-album Girls.

Their debut was with the single “Black Mamba” released there in November 2020. And, in this first half of 2022, the girls have already made history by being the first female K-Pop group to perform on the main stage of Coachella — All this with less than two years of career. Feels like it, right BLACKPINK? - Joking apart! No female rivalry. In addition, we look forward to seeing the next steps in their careers and we hope they deliver everything they promise!
