Bruce Lee - 10 Movies You Can't Stop Watching

The actor, famous for his role in the film "The Return of the Dragon", has a very extensive filmography. This is how we remember him 75 years after his birth.

Li Xiao Long, known as Bruce Lee, was a Chinese-American artist, actor, and philosopher born in California on November 27, 1940.

He stood out for being the greatest exponent in martial arts. He was never defeated and it was his great talent for combat that led him to become an icon of action / kung fu movies in such popular productions as "Enter the Dragon".

On July 20, 1973, Bruce Lee died in the apartment of a Chinese actress, under circumstances that have never been entirely clear. A crippling headache, he caused her to administer medication that apparently would have triggered a blackout in the room, and loss of consciousness, eventually arriving at the hospital lifeless.

1. Fist of Fury (1972)

This is Lee's second film with Golden Harvest, and while he never had a good relationship with director Lo Wei, the film turned out to be a hit, both in Hong Kong and in the United States. Also from this film Bruce began to take charge of directing his films.

2. Enter the Dragon (Enter the Dragon, 1973)

Probably Bruce Lee's most important film and the one that started the rage over Kung Fu movies, also the one that gave rise to the cult of Lee as one of the greatest in history. Unfortunately, the teacher passed away a week before the world premiere of the film.

3. Game of Death (1978)

It was Bruce Lee's last film, and which, curiously, could not finish shooting due to his premature and surprise death almost a year after filming began. Approximately five years after his death, Golden Harvest completed the film using stuntmen and montages. In 1978, the version was released, which also included scenes that Bruce Lee had done for other films.

4. Way of the Dragon (1972)

Lee's most famous film, who in addition to starring in it was the director and screenwriter of it. The film features the famous "fight of the century" in which Lee faces Chuck Norris, who by then was already a seven-time world champion in Karate.

5. The Big Boss (1971)

The first film that Bruce made with Golden Harvest and the one that catapulted his career into American cinema. The film was a success at the box office despite having a small budget and the filming was done in disastrous conditions.

6. Marlowe (1969)

Directed by Paul Bogart and based on Raymond Chandler's 1949 novel 'The Little Sister', this film also featured performances by Gayle Hunnicutt, Rita Moreno, Carroll O'Connor and Jackie Coogan.

7. Ren Hai Gu Hong – The Orphan (1960)

Although it may seem surprising, Bruce Lee also participated in movies that had nothing to do with martial arts. In this case, one of his first appearances on the big screen was in this romantic drama.

8. Lei Yu – The Thunderstorm (1957)

Another unusual film in which Lee participated in the beginning of his acting career, in which the protagonist Zhou Puyuan returns to his country from Germany with radical thoughts to take the role of dictator within his dynasty.

9. Er Nu Zhai – We Owe It to Our Children (1955)

Directed by Kim Chun, the film stands out for being the first starring Bruce that was translated for the rest of the world.

10. Ai-Love (1955)
