Salma Hayek accuses Weinstein of S- abuse and death threats

The producer replies that her story "is not accurate."

"Harvey Weinstein was a passionate movie buff, an adventurous producer, a patron of movie talent, a loving father and a monster." Thus begins the long and devastating column that Salma Hayek has published in the New York Times to recount her experience with the man accused of S-abuse by dozens and dozens of actresses.

The Mexican star narrates how the great opportunity that she achieved with Weinstein with the film Frida, for which she was nominated for an Oscar, led to continued  harassment. His day-to-day life became a constant brake on the producer's alleged abuses, who showed up unannounced at any hotel in any location where the film was being shot:

"No taking a shower with him. No letting him watch me take a shower. No letting him give me a massage. No letting a N-friend of his give me a massage. No letting him give me oral S. No to stay N- with another woman".

According to Hayek, before each one of her constant refusals, "Harvey's Machiavellian anger" was unleashed, to the point of threatening her with death with a "I'll kill you, don't think I'm not capable." The most unpleasant point for the actress came when the producer forced a lesbian scene in the film with full N-.

The director, Julie Taymor, negotiated that she would stay in a kiss, but the tension led to Hayek's anxiety attack and, according to her account, the nightmare continued until after the premiere. She even goes so far as to say that she believes that if she was not "raped" by Weinstein, it was because of her friendship with Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez.

Weinstein has responded to Salma Hayek through a spokesperson. According to his version, the actress's account "does not conform to reality" and affirms that "other people who witnessed the events have a different perception of what happened." Of course, it does not mention names. In this exculpatory statement they also assure that Weinstein always supported Hayek's career, that the role of Frida was going to be for Jennifer Lopez but he managed to get the Mexican to keep it, and that the S-scenes were fully justified by the biography of the artist.

They insist that Weinstein never committed any crime against Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan and the hundreds of actresses who accuse the producer of crimes ranging from S-harassment to rape.
