They say that "you should never meet your heroes", but I think that depends on who you consider a hero. Many people are disappointed when they meet their favorite celebrity, as it turns out that they are not as cool or nice as they are on screen or in concert. Yet others are captivated by how nice and down-to-earth their favorite actors, singers, or influencers are; Today we will focus on them.
We have compiled for you a list of meetings with big stars that turned out to be just as we expected: great people.
1. Daniel Radcliffe
“I served Daniel Radcliffe his dessert at an event, tripped, and spilled some on him. Daniel stood up and began to apologize profusely to me. He was very sweet and he asked me if he was okay”.
2. Will Smith
“I worked on a private event for him a couple of years ago. He made sure to thank each and every employee when he arrived and before he left. He had the best of manners and was in a very jovial mood, joking with the staff. A wonderful man."
3. Jeff Goldblum
“I don't think anyone would be surprised to learn that Jeff Goldblum is nice, but I can vouch for it. I was an extra in a movie with him. When he arrived on the scene, a nasty woman from the film crew was yelling at us not to bother him or ask for his autograph (which none of us had done). She must have heard her because she turned around and came over to talk to us."
4. Patrick Stewart
“Patrick literally walked up to the counter in the open kitchen and thanked the cooks, he gloriously thanked each member of staff as he left. Everyone was speechless. He made our day!"
5. Gordon Ramsey
“A lot of people mention that Gordon Ramsay is very nice, my sister can confirm that. She worked in a hotel restaurant in Cornwall, where Ramsay regularly vacations. She was so nervous that she spilled something, but he just gave her a very warm smile, as well as a fatherly smile, and said, 'no, it's okay, honey,' then she carried on with their conversation."
6. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
“My mom and sister met 'The Rock' when he was still a wrestler. They were getting off a flight and they had a lot of luggage, so people were desperate. In that, a huge guy offered to carry some things and they accepted; he took some bags, as well as a suitcase, escorted them off the ship, and left. People came up to them asking how they knew 'The Rock,' but my mom didn't know what they were talking about until someone explained to her who the man was who helped them get off the plane."
7. Robin Williams
“My mom saw Robin Williams once, she walked up to him and asked if she could take a quick photo. She didn't realize he was there to do something with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, so she waited until they were done. Right after, a group of people crowded around her to take a photo. He told her staff 'I think that woman wanted a photo' and made sure he got it. He was a nice, humble guy.”
8. Jim Carrey
“I met Jim Carrey when he was about 11 years old at a party my parents attended. He couldn't stop looking at him, he was acting so normal, but then when he realized that he was looking at him, he made a facial expression like in The Mask and started looking at me. He is a real fun guy and probably has the purest heart."
9. Hugh Laurie
“I have met Hugh Laurie in person, so I can confidently say that he is one of the nicest and most humble celebrities around. Not only is he completely happy to interact with his fans, but he also does it in a way that makes each and every one of them feel like a friend. Remember names as well as personal details with amazing accuracy. Add to that that he is a funny man. He is certainly a great guy.”
10. Steve Irwin
“I've met some musicians and athletes who have been nice, but none were as nice as Steve. I met him in an elevator at a hotel that I walked into drenched after swimming in the pool. He was only 11 years old and in awe to be in an elevator with Steve Irwin. He immediately started a conversation with me, he asked me what my name is, where I'm from if there were crocodiles in the pool, and if I saw any in the hotel to tell him to go look for them. That interaction with him still makes me ridiculously happy every time I think about it."
