A list full of spoilers with the same result, the villain of the movie is the one who ends up winning.
1984
George Orwell's famous story takes place in a dystopian future where British society is controlled by the thought police, led by a dictatorship called Big Brother. John Hurt's character is in charge of revising history to fit his government's ideology and despises his work.
In the end, he ends up joining a rebel party only to be betrayed by them, who were spies, and end up torturing him. The character ends up reintegrating into society, broken and without any spirit of fight.
The Blair Witch Project
This viral fake true story tape made from alleged found footage tells the story of a ghost in Burkittsville called the Blair Witch. There is also a story of a hermit named Rustin Parr who killed a 7-year-old on the witch's orders several years ago.
In the final scene, the students come across Parr's house, and as Mike heads to the basement an invisible force attacks him. The same goes for Heather. With the camera on the ground, we never see the Blair Witch kill the team but it's clear that each of them has found the end of it.
Hereditary
After her daughter is decapitated in a car accident, Annie finds solace in Joan. However, Joan ends up partnering with her late mother in some sort of Paimon demon-worshipping cult.
When Charlie burns her daughter's diary hoping to kill off the demon, she sets her husband on fire and easily ends up possessing Annie. In the tree house, the family coven ends, and all of Paimon's followers seem willing to do his bidding.
The Cabin in the Woods
'The Cabin in the Woods pleasantly surprised us all with a new and appreciable teen slasher. In this case, it tells the story of a group in a cabin while a horde of zombies is unleashed.
Over time they learn that everything was organized by a group to calm the forces of evil and that Dana, the virgin of the group, must kill her friend Marty to save humanity. She refuses to do so, condemning humanity to the end of it. At least at that point, any possibility of a sequel was closed.
Life
Several astronauts find an alien cell in a space probe. The microorganism can transform into any cell and its potential is unlimited. But then Calvin evolves and starts killing the crew. To prevent something like this from reaching the earth. One of the astronauts launches into space with the organism sending the rest of its capsule to Earth, falling into a lake. However, it seems that a miscalculation was made and the capsule with the organism is the one that lands on our planet. Although it is not seen, we assume that the fishermen would open the door and release the deadly organism.
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Almost all of Spider-Man's villains end up learning Peter Parker's secret identity, but none of them ever use that information against him. Until Quentin Beck, Mysterio, arrived and manages to reveal, after his death, all of Spider-Man's secrets.
He also does so, framing him for his death. A great way to beat your opponent, even after death.
