1. Zendaya
An undisputed queen, Zendaya got started on the Disney Channel in 2010 as one of the main characters on Shake It Up. Since then, she's been in many different shows and movies, including Euphoria (which I totally became obsessed with), The Greatest Showman, and various Spider-Man movies. Let's be honest, Zendaya is quite the hit.
Regarding dealing with the difficulties of acting at such a young age, Zendaya has said, "I think for me, I was very clear about what I wanted to do. I was very clear about who I was, and I think I learned a lot as well. lessons just from being in the industry for so long.
Side note: if you haven't seen Euphoria, you have to, I mean it. She even won two Emmy Awards for her performance. And speaking of awards, she has won 21 different awards for her work in music and acting. That's right, 21.
2. Bella Thorne
Speaking of Shake It Up, Zendaya starred opposite Bella Thorne, who has also dabbled in the movie industry. She acted in a few shows before Shake It Up, including My Own Worst Enemy, for which she actually won one of her three Young Artist Awards. More recently, you may have seen her in the movies Blended, Midnight Sun, and Time is Up, to name a few of her.
3. Emma Roberts
Emma Roberts played the lead in the Nickelodeon series Unfabulous in 2004 (which, by the way, I watched religiously). Since then, she's really made a name for herself in the industry, in films like Wild Child (an absolute classic), We're The Millers (for which she received two awards), and The Holiday. She even appeared in several episodes of American Horror Story, so we can tell she's come a long way since her Nickelodeon days.
4. Keke Palmer
Keke Palmer certainly got noticed in the movie Jump In! in 2007. He later played the main character of the Nickelodeon series True Jackson, VP. Keke has been open about the difficulties of working in the entertainment industry since she was young. He has said, "As a youngster, as a kid in the entertainment world, your emotions are always the last thing people care about."
Since then, he has appeared in tons of movies and TV shows, including Hustlers (and I must mention I love that movie), the Scream Queens series, and most recently the Alice and Nope movies.
He's also won five different awards, so in short, he's been killing it for years.
5. Aunt Mowry
You probably remember the Mowry sisters from their 90s series, Sister, Sister. Tia and Tamera later appeared in the Disney Channel movie Twitches, and the two have since been in a variety of shows and movies. Most recently, Tia has performed at Family Reunion and Game On A Comedy Crossover Event.
It's not a surprise that she has won quite a few awards in the past, especially for her work in the late '90s and early 2000s.
6. Hilary Duff
My fellow '90s babes will remember Hilary Duff from the show Lizzie McGuire (which, I should clarify, she had an unhealthy obsession with). After that, she acted in tons of movies in the early 2000s, including The New Cinderella, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Your Voice (which, fun fact, was my favorite movie for most of my childhood). Regarding her start in show business, Hilary has said, "I worked so hard for it; I begged to be signed up for acting classes. I begged to be taken to massive auditions, the kind where there are like 500 kids."
Since then, Duff has appeared in The Murder of Sharon Tate, How I Met Your Father and several others. She has even won 21 different awards over the years. An undisputed icon.
7. Cole Sprouse
As one-half of the Sprouse brothers, you probably recognize Cole from Zack & Cody: Twins in Action. Since his days on the Disney Channel, Cole has been involved in Riverdale, Five Feet Apart, and various other projects. She's won seven different awards, so she's definitely doing something right.
Despite being a huge success, both then and now, Cole has been quite open about the psychological trauma child actors have to deal with. She has said, "I really love the art of acting," but adds that she has "a very complicated relationship with celebrity culture."
