Brooke Shields had just finished college when a man proposed a meeting to participate in a supposed movie. Then, he managed to trick her into taking her to her hotel, telling the young actress that they would call a taxi from there. Until he appeared N-, ready to attack her.
"It was like wrestling," she said in her story. "I was afraid I'd drown or something," she recalled with a lump in her throat. “I thought my one 'no' should have been enough. And I just thought 'stay alive and go,'" she revealed.
After the fact, she called her friend and her security chief and he was the one who warned her that what she had just experienced was r-pe. She didn't want to, she couldn't believe it. And she explained that she made friends with silence as a strategy to move on: "The industry I was in prepares you to close the doors and I didn't want to lose myself in that. I didn't want to become that victim," she said.
