They wanted to improve their image but ended up regretting the results.
Heidi Montag
The Hills member caused quite a stir a decade ago when it emerged that she underwent 10 cosmetic procedures in a single day when she was just 23 years old.
Chin reduction, brow lift, Botox, and br--st augmentation were part of the procedures.
"Nobody ages perfectly, so I plan to continue using surgery to keep myself as perfect as I can be," Heidi told People at the time.
But a decade later her vision has changed.
“I was too young to make such a life-changing decision,” she told Cosmopolitan last year. "She was under so much pressure because it was the start of comment sections, negativity, and hate on the internet."
“I think I looked in the mirror too much. I wish I had waited and not made such a young decision because I have long-term health complications,” she added to the post.
Radical Transformations
Melanie Griffith became addicted to surgery until she realized the seriousness of the comments around her. “It hurt so much that I went to a different doctor and he started dissolving all this shit that he had put on this other doctor. Hopefully, I look more normal now."
Something similar happened to Courteney Cox with her fillers. "One day you see photos of yourself and you think 'Oh God, I'm horrible'. For a woman in this industry…getting old is not easy. But I learned my lesson. I have done things that I regret. Fortunately, some things dissolve and disappear. And that's good because this hasn't been my best aspect”.
Against Botox
Less drastic than surgeries, Botox injections have also caused some celebrity regret.
“I tried Botox, unfortunately, but I came out of it and now I can finally move my face again,” Nicole Kidman commented.
For Gwyneth Paltrow, it was not a pleasant experience either. “I'll try anything. Except for Botox, because I looked crazy. I looked like Joan Rivers!"
