The iconic actress said no to two films and those roles curiously ended up in the hands of the same actress

Without a doubt, Julia Roberts' career has been very successful. But, like other artists, she has turned down roles she regrets.

Two movies that Julia Roberts rejected and with one of them she could have won an Oscar

The funny thing is that the two main films that she turned down and which she regrets were left in the hands of Sandra Bullock. There is no discussion, Julia Roberts has been able to choose very well the films in which she has been a part of her, but even she has been able to make a mistake from time to time. Nobody is perfect.

For years, Julia Roberts was synonymous with profitable film. Her romantic comedies tripled and more than the budget was spent on each one. Having her as an actress meant success, it was almost like having a 4-hour clover. It happened to her when she played Vivian, a nice prostitute in Pretty Woman and she repeated it over and over again in tapes like Stay by Me, Nothing Hill and My Best Friend's Wedding.

However, this ease of choosing roles that were so liked by the public and that seemed made for her sometimes fails and that is when Julia Roberts rejected two films that, curiously, made Sandra Bullock take away the reign of the highest-grossing actress. and even took an Oscar Award.

The first of these films that Julia Roberts rejected was The Proposal (Disney Plus), in which she was going to be an editor who compromised with her assistant, Ryan Reynolds, so as not to be deported. The second made the regret deeper, since she could have had the role of Leigh Anne in A Possible Dream (Netflix), however, she rejected it and again it was Sandra Bullock who took it, and thanks to it she was able to win an Oscar award.
