Hollywood star Charlize Theron has gone viral for her claim to marry Spanish food, which is apparently one of her favorites.
There is nothing that unites the Spanish more than some famous person praising our culture, our climate, or in this case our food.
The Mediterranean diet is famous all over the world for its quality but when it is appreciated by someone like Charlize Theron, it ends up going viral for the curious moment.
And it is that a clip of her interview on the David Letterman show has gone viral on TikTok for telling that she would marry Spanish food, specifically with a croquette. It seems that the actress, who always surprises with her sincerity or with a radical haircut as happened recently (you can see it in the video above) doesn't have bad taste...
"I have a crazy passion and love for Spanish food. And if I could marry her, I would," Charlize declares on the show, to the audience's applause.
Then the presenter asks her, "Is that legal in Spain, marrying with food?", and Charlize replies:
"I think anything is legal in Spain. You could probably marry a 'croquette' if you wanted to," she says, delivering the famous meal in a Spanish accent.
"I was married to a croquette," Letterman also replies, and the actress bursts out laughing.
Although the joke that everything is illegal here has made many people want to refute it, the general tone has been great enthusiasm for his recognition of the country's gastronomy and his careful accent to say "croquette".
Theron is not the only one passionate about our food, Lucy Hale also fell in love with Salmorejo when she was living in Almería to shoot the movie 'Borrego', and surely many more would join in marrying a good potato omelet or a paella.
