Mia Dio made an outburst video about dysphoria, listing all the procedures and saying it all started when she was just 16 years old
Mia Dio caused perplexity on the internet when she revealed, in a video for her YouTube channel, that she spent 149 thousand reais on procedures and plastic surgeries for her face. The influencer said that it all started when she was just 16 years old because she thought she was 'ugly'.
"You can't judge me more than I judged myself in this life", she said at the beginning of the recording.
Dio said she started getting lip fillers when she was 16 and it quickly got her 'hooked' on having the procedure. She even stated that she suffered from "some kind of lip filler dysmorphia" and that she regrets it.
′'I definitely regret doing these things young, because it opened the doors to a lot of self-criticism", said the influencer. ′′I started poking and poking other things that I thought were wrong with my face".
Dio said that after she graduated from high school, she saved up money to get a rhinoplasty - which cost around 24,000 reais. "After I got my nose done, I got really cold [from the procedures]."
After that, she started getting Botox, just for prevention, until she noticed that the procedure slightly raised her eyebrows. With that, she decided to gamble all her money and get the modern 'fox eye lift'.
"Basically, they put strands under her skin and pull her up, giving you a ponytail facelift," she explained. "While it was a lot of fun to try, the results don't last long."
Her next step was to put lenses on her teeth, so they would be perfectly white. The influencer went to Turkey to have the procedure, which would cost 27 thousand reais, but she got it for free by partnering with the clinic.
So, the beauty met the celebrity doctor Doctor Ron. She said she went to the doctor's office just to see what he would suggest and ended up leaving with several new procedures done.
Dio admitted the results are short-lived, but she likes the look so much that she has the procedure "every ten months, or when I start to notice the results wear off."
The influencer ended the video by saying that she recently had Botox on her jaw and plastic surgery on her breasts. She even confessed that while all this work has definitely helped her confidence, she doesn't necessarily recommend it as a solution to a lack of confidence.
"I think it's important to note that cosmetic procedures or plastic surgery shouldn't be one size fits all for self-esteem issues, although they can help," the 22-year-old beauty concluded.
