Thanks to her role in 'Avengers', the interpreter surpasses Reese Witherspoon or Jennifer Aniston thanks to her more than 50 million euros

Second on the women's list is Colombian Sofia Vergara, a veteran of the industry but a newcomer to the ranking. Her role as a star of the comedy Modern Family earned her almost 40 million euros between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019, which are the dates on which the ranking was prepared. The list is closed by Ellen Pompeo, known for her role as Meredith Gray in Grey's Anatomy (19.8 million).
Despite Johansson and her fellow list mates earning more than $240 million together, pay inequality lives on in Hollywood. The $56 million the interpreter earned over the past year would place her eighth on the joint list of highest-paid actors and actresses. By way of comparison, Robert Downey Jr., co-star of Avengers with Johansson, earned almost 50 million just for his role as Iron Man in Endgame and, with a total of 66 million dollars (59.6 million euros) is the third highest-paid actor in the world after Dwayne La Roca Johnson (80.8 million) and his other fellow avenger Chris Hemsworth (69 million euros).
