Kaley Cuoco is living one of the happiest stages of her life, however, she has remembered one of the most traumatic episodes, and that is that the actress from 'The Big Bang Theory' was about to lose her leg in a serious accident.
After the hard blow that was the dismissal of the famous comedy series 'The Big Bang Theory', Kaley Cuoco is experiencing her best period, both personally and professionally, and that is, in addition to working on new projects such as her new comedy series 'Based on to True Story', the actress has given birth to her first daughter, Matilda, who she has had with her partner, actor Tom Pelphrey.
However, not everything has been happiness in her life and Cuoco has recalled a traumatic incident that she experienced while riding a horse.
The actress has gone to the Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes podcast, 'Smartless', where she has recounted the event.
She is an animal lover and, in addition to being an actress, she is a professional horseman and has competed in jumping events for years. However, in September 2010 while she was riding, her horse got scared and jumped on her, breaking her leg.
"I remember it clearly as daylight because it takes a second to realize it's a bad thing," Kaley said, thinking, "Did I just fall on a bunch of leaves? Because I heard the crunch."
"It took me 5 or 10 seconds to realize that it wasn't about 400 sheets, it was my bones," she explained.
The actress suffered a broken tibia and fibula that she has described as "horrible". She had to be rushed to the hospital and her injury was so severe that she even had to sign a document giving permission to the doctors to amputate her leg if necessary.
Fortunately, the operation went well. Cuoco was able to walk again two weeks later, and she now jokes about it: "I have good scars. They make you look like a bad girl."
