Kasia Gallanio was facing in court for the custody of her daughters with her ex-husband and the hypotheses of suicide and her overdose were considered as causes of her death
On May 29 of last year, the lifeless body of the former princess of Qatar Kasia Gallanio, who was only 46 years old, was found. A tragic death that, according to sources close to the investigation, collected by EFE, the first autopsy did not make it entirely clear and, therefore, required subsequent tests, and a complementary study to determine the cause of her death.
On the occasion of the first anniversary of her death, her daughter, Princess Malakakh published an emotional message in her memory. "A year ago you left us Mom to go to heaven despite the bad weather. The pain is still so strong. Every day that passes you are in my thoughts. I love you very much, I miss you very much. Rest in peace Princess K. You will never be forgotten."
Kasia Gallanio's farewell message
Two months before her death, Kasia Gallanio dedicated a message to her three daughters that seemed premonitory: «My dear. Never forget that I love you very much. Life is full of hard times and good times. If at certain times you feel overwhelmed…..Don't forget who you are…..Righten your crowns and be brave….Learn all you can and be amazing, inspiring, powerful, and compassionate women.”
We must remember that the National Police appeared at her house in Marbella on that Sunday morning. It had been her daughter, her minor, who had alerted the security forces from France because he had not been able to establish communication with her for several days.
The agents found the lifeless body of the ex-partner of Abdelaziz bin Khalifa Al-Thani, uncle of the Qatari emir, with no apparent signs of violence. This death came after litigation for the custody of her three minor daughters that began in 2012. Ten days before her death, on May 19, a Paris court had dismissed the ex- princess's requirements.
The family analysis of the ex-princess
According to Le Parisien, Kasia Gallanio had been hospitalized months before, she had suffered various nervous breakdowns and had even undergone detoxification cures. These circumstances determined that the aforementioned court waited to obtain a psychological evolution of the ex-princess to make a more complete portrait of her true family situation.
We are talking about a complex case because, in mid-April, one of the couple's daughters had reported having been the victim of S- assault by her father when she was between 9 and 15 years old. The Paris Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation on the premise of an alleged crime of aggravated S- assault, carried out by the police brigade for the protection of minors. The sheik's entourage denied these accusations.
After the death of Kasia Gallanio, her lawyer, Sabrina Boesch, stated that "My client was devastated by this decision and I believe that she has died of grief." The lawyer had traveled to Spain to recognize her body along with the woman's eldest daughters, 17 years old. Her 73-year-old father had no relationship at the time with the two eldest daughters, according to Le Parisien, and only provided them with money to cover their expenses in "modest hotels or short-term accommodation."
On the contrary, the youngest of the three sisters, 15 years old, lived with him in a 5,000-square-meter palace located on Avenue Montaigne in Paris, but not in the best conditions, since she would be "isolated from the world and in a situation school dropout”, as published by Le Parisien.
Galliano was born in Los Angeles and led a very cosmopolitan life. He moved to Paris after a coup attempt in Qatar and converted to Islam shortly after getting married. His marriage, despite having three daughters in common, broke down very quickly and they divorced very soon. Her twin daughters lived with her in Spain and her youngest in Paris with her father, as we have previously indicated.
Gallanio's constant denunciations by his children
The former princess denounced her situation on her Instagram profile with a dramatic message: "Children should never be used as victims or pawns when parents do not get along. The father of my children, Prince Abdulaziz Khalifa Al Thani, has not paid a penny in child support for over a year to help me support and raise our children. In my opinion, this is outrageous, unfair, shameful, and a real shame."
And he added that March 19: «It does not matter what financial level or state you are in. It is really immoral because again the children are the victim. However, it is more humiliating when you are a billionaire prince from Qatar." Sheikh Abdelaziz, however, preferred to remain silent.
Gallanio's inner circle also speaks
The Daily Beast was speaking at that time with some of Gallanio's friends, and all the people consulted saw the theory that he had died of a drug overdose as implausible since they consider that he led a healthy life. What's more, they stated that they were very concerned about his figure and his health, that he could occasionally have a glass of wine, but nothing more. Suicide was not an option in his environment.
"I am 100 percent sure that he did not die of an overdose," his friend and confidante Louis Spagnuolo, an American businessman, told the aforementioned outlet. "He did not commit suicide. He would never have left his daughters and he did not use drugs.
