Amanda Bynes revealed details of what happened to her

There was a time when thinking about teen comedies was thinking about her: Amanda Bynes. A dream for her, My trouble date, She's the boy, Hairspray… She and Lindsay Lohan were the big stars of the genre, but one day everything changed.

Amanda Bynes revealed details of what happened to her

Amanda Bynes released her last film in 2010 and since then she has not been seen on the big screen again. Last year, while Britney Spears was already enjoying her freedom, another guardianship was coming to an end. At 35, Amanda Bynes managed to regain control of her life.

According to the Magazine, Amanda Bynes has been hospitalized after she walked N- through downtown Los Angeles on Sunday. She reportedly told a driver that she had suffered a psychotic episode and called 911 herself. According to the media, psychiatric retentions last 72 hours, but they can be longer.

Amanda Bynes retired at 24

It was after the premiere of Rumors and Lies (2010) that everything began to come to a halt, at least publicly. "Being an actress isn't as fun as it seems. If I don't love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don't like acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire, but you heard it here first." he announced on Twitter in June. The truth is that, as she told Paper magazine years later, she had not liked her performance or her appearance in the film at all, and, high on marijuana, she did not think twice before saying she was giving up acting.

She was dragging other problems that, however, had not come to light. The premiere of She's the Boy (2006) also affected her a lot, causing her a deep depression, a disease that she dragged on for months after seeing the movie because she didn't like its masculine aspect. In the interview with Paper, she also revealed that at the age of 16, she started smoking marijuana and then ecstasy and Adderall.

From her controversies on Twitter to end up under the guardianship

Her image began to collapse after her early retirement: "She had no purpose in life. She had been working all my life and was doing nothing." Unemployed and unoccupied, Amanda began to devote that free time to drugs and Twitter, the public scene of her fall from grace.

On that platform, she published controversial messages, some of them addressed to celebrities like Drake or the Obamas. "Do you see what happens when they cancel an intervention?" Rihanna wrote after Bynes's account attacked her (Amanda said after her that her tweets against the singer were false).

Amanda Bynes's mother ended up getting guardianship of her in 2013 and the actress told in 2014 that she had been diagnosed as having bipolar. Her guardianship lasted almost nine years, until March 2022, a few months after Britney Spears also regained her freedom.

"Over the past few years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter. I am excited about my upcoming projects - including my fragrance line - and look forward to sharing more when I can," the former A Dream For Her actress, who is supported by her parents, said in a statement to People. Following the court decision, in April, Amanda Bynes (now 36) and her now-ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, released a song together, "Diamonds."
