Demi Moore tells the darkest and saddest details of her private life in Inside Out.
Demi Moore was the perfect actress, highlighted by her beauty and talent, and made each title a success. But behind that sweet image was hiding a woman full of insecurities, with a terrible childhood and a maturity that led to addictions and heartbreak.
This is reflected by the protagonist of Striptease in her autobiography Inside Out of Her. My story is a stark account of the abuse she suffered in her childhood, which, terrible as it may seem, the artist believes was facilitated by her own family.
At the age of 15, she was raped by a man who claimed that she had paid her mother: "I will never know if Ginny accepted that five hundred dollars in exchange for Val being able to abuse me. But I have no doubt that she gave him the key to the apartment, "says the actress.
In the book, she also talks about her addiction to alcohol and drugs: "I inhaled so much (cocaine) that I was about to open a hole in my nose," she narrates in a fragment of the letter. Likewise, she tells details of her relationship with Bruce Willis and her life with Ashton Kutcher, and how this last separation took her back to hell.
As in a catharsis, Demi Moore allows her life to become everyone's heritage, with a biography with which she frees herself from the weight of guilt, reconciles with herself and those around her with an overwhelming sincerity, and with which she destroys the idea of an easy life, full of glamour.
