Keanu Reeves has decided to shed light on the historical rumors of having gone through the altar with Winona Ryder that has accompanied him for years
It was a moment that took place 30 years ago and that has marked Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves to this day. In 1992 both actors were part of the cast of the film Bram Stoker's Dracula, a film about the life and miracles of the famous vampire. In one of the scenes of the popular production, Ryder and Reeves sealed their love in a marriage ceremony officiated by authentic pastors, something that, according to what has been affirmed for years, turned the scene into a true wedding between the contracting parties.
During all these years (three decades) the story has been commented on numerous times, acquiring the appearance of a rumor. Some gossip that Winona herself confirmed some time ago, assuring during an interview that she was married to Keanu. This statement has not really been taken seriously until now that Reeves himself has been encouraged to speak about it.
It was during a meeting with Esquire magazine in which he was again asked about the veracity of his marriage to his co-star: "We did a whole scene of the ceremony with real priests." In addition to confirming that the shepherds were authentic, the Speed interpreter ventured to rely on the theses, both from his co-star and from the film's director to shed light on his status as a married man: "Winona says that we are, Francis Ford Coppola says we are so I guess we are married in God's eyes."
As is known, the relationship between the two has been and is merely friendly. There is no romantic relationship between the two apart from this scene. Currently, Ryder maintains a sentimental relationship with Scott Mackinlay Hahn, a story that began a decade ago and the protagonist of The Matrix married Alexandra Grant, a renowned American plastic artist, in 2018.
In addition to shedding light on his royal wedding to Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves also spoke about the rumors of his future participation in a film from the Marvel universe, dropping that he would be delighted to be part of that great family: "It would be an honor. There are some incredible directors and visionaries. They're doing something that no one has ever done. It's special in that sense, in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. It would be great to be a part of that."
