Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise's adopted daughter, Bella, made a rare gesture of connection with her family this week.
Sunday Rose, the 16-year-old daughter of Nicole and musician Keith Urban, was recently featured in W magazine for a segment titled Next in Line, which explores the career paths of children with famous parents. She shared a striking image from the photoshoot on Instagram, and among those who liked the post was Bella, who is an artist.
During Nicole and Tom’s nearly 11-year marriage, they adopted two children, Connor, now 30, and Isabella, known as Bella, now 32. After their 2001 divorce, Nicole married Keith Urban and had two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, now 14. Over time, Nicole and Tom became estranged from Bella, particularly after she married British IT consultant Max Parker in a Scientology ceremony in London in September 2015. Neither parent attended the wedding. Nicole was in London at the time for a West End play but was reportedly discouraged from attending due to concerns that her presence would cause a media frenzy. Bella now resides in the U.K. with her husband.
In December 2024, reports surfaced that Nicole was making efforts to reconnect with Bella and Connor following the passing of her mother, Janelle, in September. Meanwhile, Sunday Rose continues to make waves in the fashion industry. In the W magazine feature, she revealed that she had always wanted to model but was only allowed to pursue it after turning 16. She made her runway debut last October, just 12 weeks after her birthday, by opening Miu Miu’s Spring 2025 show. She described the experience as exhilarating, saying she immediately wanted to do it again. While she is currently focused on modeling—having landed her first campaign with Miu Miu in January—she also has ambitions to study psychology at NYU. Her ultimate goal, however, is to become a director, citing filmmaker Greta Gerwig as a major inspiration.
Bella, who has largely remained out of the spotlight, shared a rare selfie in December with her nearly 56,000 Instagram followers. She posted an image on her Instagram Stories from the Salvador Dalí Museum in Florida, where her artwork is being exhibited. In the photo, she stood beside her framed abstract piece in shades of green, yellow, and white, smiling softly while dressed in a white tank top that revealed her tattooed arms. Captioning the post, she wrote, “This little guy made it to @imaginmuseum.” Her artwork was previously featured on Instagram in July, accompanied by a simple caterpillar emoji as a caption. According to her official website, Bella has been passionate about drawing since childhood, beginning with pen and paper before expanding into digital and other artistic mediums.
