Former Beatle Paul McCartney has admitted that his tumultuous marriage to former model Heather Mills was one of the biggest mistakes of his life

Paul McCartney revealed Marrying Heather Mills was a big mistake

Asked if marrying Mills was one of his worst decisions in the last decade, McCartney, 67, replied: "Okay, yeah. I guess (the marriage) has to be the first contender (to be one of the worst mistakes). Those things happen, you know? But I tend to focus on the positive, which is that I have another beautiful daughter as a result of that (the marriage with Heather Mills)", comments the musician, without mentioning at any time the name of his ex-wife.

The singer, whose 6-year-old daughter Beatrice is the result of the relationship with Mills, married the former model in 2002 and divorced her last year after reaching an agreement valued at 24.3 million pounds (about 26 .7 million euros). Despite the failure of that relationship, McCartney stresses that he has "managed to feel quite satisfied this decade."

One of the most pleasant things that have happened to the artist lately is to have fallen in love with "a new girlfriend", about the divorced and millionaire American Nancy Shevell. On the other hand, the former member of the Beatles denied rumors about his possible retirement: "I have a great time. Why would I retire? Sitting at home and watching TV? No, thanks. I prefer to play (music)".

When asked if he has lost 60 million pounds (about 66 million euros) as a result of the credit crisis, Paul McCartney plays the clueless and answers with a simple "I have no idea, man."
