The truth is that Bruce Willis refused to kiss Jennifer Aniston, so they had to modify the script and some actions.
The reason behind this decision is that Bruce Willis was very good friends with Brad Pitt, who at that time was still married to the star of Friends. And the fact of kissing the wife of his friend was not very funny, so he asked that this be changed. “I would have loved to kiss her, but Brad is my friend and Jennifer is her wife. It didn't seem appropriate, but she's a hottie," revealed Bruce Willis.

Well, in the first chapter of his appearance, when Ross enters Joey's apartment and catches them in the middle of a kiss, we never get to see him, we only see when they already separate. Bruce Willis wasn't the only actor who refused to kiss her
Although Bruce Willis's reasons were mostly for codes and friendship, the truth is that other actors had other reasons for not wanting to kiss Jennifer Aniston. One of them was Alec Baldwin, who not only participated in Friends but also had the opportunity to share the screen with the actress again in the movie Along Came Polly and in the series 30 Rock. And it was in the latter where they had to share a kiss, which according to the actor's own words, "was painful."
Aniston was a guest star on the show starring Baldwin, and she took on the role of her love interest from her episode.
