Jennifer Aniston shared the sad news about her personal life through her Instagram account.
Jennifer Aniston needs no introduction. The actress known for playing Rachel on Friends, she is one of the best-known in the world. And although she is usually a reserved person regarding her private life, in the last few hours the interpreter has used her social networks to share sad news.
Jennifer revealed that her father, John Aniston, passed away at the age of 89. Like his daughter, John was an actor and was widely known for his work on the small screen.
Born in Greece in 1933, Aniston began his acting career in the early 1960s. One of his best-known roles was on the soap opera Days of Our Lives where he played the character of Dr. Eric Richards. In 1985 he returned to the series with the character of Victor Kriakis.
In 2022, he received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award for his work on said fiction. Earlier in 1986, the actor received two Soap Opera Digest Awards, one for Best Actor and one for Best Villain.
He also had some minor roles in the Mission Impossible series (1969), in Star Trek: Voyager (2001), in The West Wing, Gilmore Girls (2002), and in 2010 had a role in the drama Mad Men. He last appeared on screen in the 2014 Lifetime TV movie Return to Zero, which starred Minnie Driver, Paul Adelstein, and Alfred Molina.
On the day of the date, Jennifer Aniston shared an emotional publication with which she remembered her father. "Sweet dad... John Anthony Aniston. You were one of the most beautiful humans I have ever met. I'm so thankful that you flew into the skies in peace - and without pain," the actress wrote gratefully.
