This is Drive Muy Love, a film produced by Martín Scorsese. The film, which will have Ramsay's own dramatic overtones, is about a mother who has postpartum depression, although the director made it clear that she tried to "make it funny" or at least "hopes it's funny."
Based on a book written by Argentine Ariana Harwicz, the film is based on a woman living isolated in rural France who is beside herself for having lost her marriage amid her motherhood. The director confirmed that she just sent the material to the actress, she was very enthusiastic.
"She really responded very enthusiastically, even though it's bipolar disorder in the middle of her marriage breaking up and suffering from postpartum depression." However, she was in charge of clarifying that the idea was not to make a very deep drama but to change the axis to issues of mental health problems, something that she considered that "everyone suffered during COVID".
This film will be the first of several that the director has been working on. As to why the SAG-AFTRA strike will not affect this release, Lynne said it was because the film was "very straightforward." "It happens in a house, not in the Arctic, not on a boat, it's just them in a house, so it's easier to do."
There is still no confirmed date for the release of Die, My Love, but surely it is one of the films to take into account when this happens since the Ramsey-Lawrence tandem generates a lot of expectations.
