Nicolas Cage has a complaint about his cameo in The Flash

The Flash offered a multiversal adventure that allowed the presence of various versions of him and his hero friends. Among the variants we find Superman played by Nicolas Cage.

In Andy Muschietti's film when Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) uses the Speed Force to try to undo his damage, he sees how the different realities are also torn apart, one of them is where Nicolas Cage is Superman. This moment fulfilled the Oscar winner's dream of playing his favorite superhero.

After 1992's Batman Returns, Warner Bros gave the green light for Superman to return to the big screen. Under the name of Superman: Lives, the preparation of the new film began, which had Tim Burton in the direction and Cage as the last son of Krypton.

The production was at a good pace, and costume tests were even carried out with the suit that Nicolas would use, but the problems were not long in coming, and Superman: Lives went down.

Cage was recently interviewed by USA Today and during the talk the subject of The Flash was discussed and the actor made it clear that he has only one complaint about his participation: the duration.

"Well, I was glad I didn't blink. For me, it was the feeling of being updated. Even that aspect of that particular character, finally seeing it on screen, was satisfying," the actor recalled. "But like I said, it's fast. ”, he remarked.

Cage's part is short, he can be seen fighting an alien arachnid and then watching Barry Allen. Scarce as it was, audiences were shocked to see that he finally got to be Superman.

Cage took the opportunity to delve into what his role could have been like in Superman: Lives. “If you really wanted to know what I was going to do with that character, check out my performance in City of Angels (1998). He was supposed to play Clark Kent after that, and he was already developing this alien otherness playing this angel. That's a perfect example of the tonality you would have gotten for Kal-El and Clark Kent," Cage explained.
