Mila Kunis became a trend on social networks after a movie in which she plays a heroin addict has just arrived on Netflix. It is about 4 days, in which she shares the cast with Glenn Close.
American actress Mila Kunis has not stopped receiving praise for her role in a 2020 film that was recently added to Netflix.
The movie 4 Days (Four Good Days) originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020. In the film, Kunis looks unrecognizable as a heroin addict. Actress Glenn Close plays her mother, who is desperate to keep her sober for four days.
The film is based on a 2016 article written by journalist Eli Saslow for The Washington Post, which focused on the true story of an addict who moved in with her mother during her recovery.
Kunis was stunned by her incredible physical change to play Margaret "Molly" Wheeler, a 31-year-old heroin addict struggling to recover with the help of her mother. Molly's face is covered in sores and scabs, and she appears gaunt and worn throughout the film.
Kunis became a trend on Twitter because many users expressed their amazement at the transformation of the actress, known for her roles in movies like Ted, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Black Swan, among others.
"You have to watch 4 days on Netflix. Mila Kunis plays a heroin addict who has to stay clean for four more days to get a life-saving drug, but needs the help of her mother, who has given up on her," wrote one user on Twitter.
"Kunis' performance is impressive. She is a very underrated actress," another user added. When the film was released in 2020, Kunis revealed that she had lost weight to take on the challenging role of Molly.
"She's in a constant state of despair. My character never had any release. So I was really happy the movie wasn't a two-month production. I was really happy when it was over. I'd had enough," Kunis recalled.
