The physical problem suffered by Pedro Pascal by fans of Games of Thrones

The actor gave in to fan requests and ended up with an eye infection

The physical problem suffered by Pedro Pascal by fans of Games of Thrones

Pedro Pascal did not only have good news or results after he participated in Game of Thrones since the fans took too much trust in the actor.

It is that the actor said that they had a particular request, which he accepted, enthusiastic about the success of the series. "I remember because of the way my character dies on Game of Thrones, people were very excited about taking a thumbs-in-eye selfie," the actor said in a chat with Jeff Bridges, Kieran Culkin, Damson Idris, Michael Imperioli and Evan Peters. "I was so glad I was letting them do it"

The problem is that this led to his eye becoming infected, due to the constant mistreatment of the fans, which was not malicious, but clearly not ideal. Before The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, Pedro was Oberyn Martell in the popular HBO series, although his character only lasted a few episodes, when he was killed by Clegane.

When he filmed this scene, Pascal recounted, a few months ago, that he fell asleep while taking it. "It was so hot. He was on top of me and he was sticking his fingers in my eyes," and that the fake blood was very comfortable, leading him to fall asleep like that. "I had to be on fake cold-blooded, cold pieces of meat...until I fell asleep" he had said at the time.

What seemed like a fairly comfortable moment on set ended up being the reason for an eye problem that he had, at the insistence of fans and his first contact with them. Today, he would surely think a little more before accepting such a request. And how well he does.
