Reflecting on what happened then, the actress spoke about the situation in an interview, revealing: “I accepted the job, and then they sent me the scripts, and I was reading them and I said, 'Oh, there's the catch!'”

However, despite her initial reservations, she professionally approached the role, like the recent drama school graduate that she was, and felt that if it was written into the script, it was necessary. Luckily, Jason, who played Khal Drogo, her hapless on-screen husband, always made the situation easier for her.

Emilia Clarke gave more details about Jason Momoa's support during challenging scenes. She expressed her gratitude for his kindness and experience in the industry, which helped her feel more comfortable on set. Jason went out of his way to make sure Emilia was taken care of, even going so far as to ask her for a robe when she was shivering between scenes.
