This week, Do Me the Favor, the film that marks Jennifer Lawrence's return to the big screen, was released. The Oscar winner's new film represented a challenge because she had to perform a risque scene. Thanks to this, the actress spoke about the challenges she has had to face in Hollywood, including the roles she would have loved to play.

As part of the film's promotional tour, Lawrence appeared as a guest on The Rewatchables podcast, where she talked about her journey and how she went from being an ordinary actress to what she is today.

The interpreter of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games revealed that in her search to find a role that would lead her to stardom, she participated in the casting of the Twilight saga because she wanted to give life to Bella Swan, however, the study did not pay attention in it to play the protagonist of the story.

“I signed on for Twilight and they rejected me immediately,” Lawrence stated with a laugh. “I didn't even get a callback. But my life would have been totally different,” she pointed out.

“I got The Hunger Games a year later, I think. When you audition as an ordinary actress... You only get five pages and they're like, 'Act like a monkey.' When the movie came out, I thought, 'Damn.'"

Finally, the character of Bella Swan, protagonist of the saga of vampire and werewolf films, was obtained by Kristen Stewart who, together with her colleagues Robert Pattison and Taylor Lautner, managed to make the adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novels of the same name recognized worldwide.

However, if Jennifer Lawrence had been cast in the role, she likely would never have excelled as the Mockingjay in Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games trilogy.

The actress also revealed that she knew that the Hunger Games franchise was destined to become as famous as Twilight, however, at that time it was not what she wanted, since she was looking to star in independent films.

The actress received her first Oscar nomination for her role in Winter's Bone in 2011 and would later receive an award for her work in The Bright Side of Things in 2013. Years later she would be nominated in American Hustle in 2014. and Joy in 2016.
