The Game of Thrones actress rejected an invitation from the model to a party and explained the reason why she did not decide to attend.
Sophie Turner is one of the rising celebrities. The actress is best known for her roles as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones and Jean Gray in the latest installments of the X-Men. She currently stars in the HBO miniseries, The Staircase, alongside Colin Firth and Toni Collette.
However, her celebrity status increased when she married Joe Jonas, one of the members of the Jonas Brothers, with whom she is expecting her second child. Recently, the couple shined at the Met Gala in their dramatic outfits.
During her visit to the fashionista event, the actress received an invitation to attend an exclusive after-party that she organized, none other than Kendall Jenner, to which a handful of carefully selected names could attend. When the model asked Turner if she would like to go to her party, the actress responded: "No. No, no, I don't want to."
Without much further ado, Sophie rejected Kendall's invitation, without giving further explanations or, if she wanted, without apologizing or thanking her for her invitation. One would wonder what could have been the reason for such a rudeness. One assumption could be that being pregnant, the actress was tired and wanted to rest after the gala. But no, Sophie revealed what was the real reason why she gave a resounding 'no' to the model.
Recently, Turner stopped by The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon. There the British woman said that Kendall extended an invitation to her party. During the interview, Turner revealed that she does not feel at all comfortable being part of this celebrity world. She in fact confessed that every time she meets a celebrity, she tends to behave strangely or say something stupid.
Hence, when she met Kendall at the Met Gala, she cut her face, without apologizing or taking it back. “I don't want anything to do with you,” Turner explained to Fallon. Of course, Sophie assures that this is not intentional, but rather happens naturally. Of course, she later regretted it. “And I'm like, 'Why do I do this to myself?'” She wondered.
Finally, Sophie ended the night after the Met Gala, in bed eating pasta and thinking that she could have been somewhere else.
