Cameron Díaz agreed to go out with the star of 'Friends' 15 years ago when she had just broken up with Justin Timberlake, however, things did not go as expected.
Matthew Perry has been making headlines more than usual. He decided to write a memoir in which he tells all the unforgettable experiences of his life and his career as an actor, in addition to his problems with addictions, failed romances, and the women in the entertainment industry he dated, Cameron Diaz's name was mentioned, but the date they had was one of the worst in history.
In his new memoir, titled Friends, Lovers And The Big Terrible Thing, Matthew Perry, 53, says he went on a date with the Charlie's Angels star after she split from Justin Timberlake in 2007. However, things didn't work out. as he expected, since when he came face to face with the actress, it seemed to him that she had gotten drunk and showed little interest in him before accidentally punching him in the face.
As he recounted, things seemed to take a strange turn while playing Pictionary, as he said "something clever" to Cameron, who supposedly wanted to punch his shoulder, but ended up hitting him in the face "accidentally." In the pages of his book, Matthew also talks about his short-lived romance with Julia Roberts and her decision to break up with him.
The former couple dated for a few months at the end of 1995 and until the following year, after meeting on the set of her guest appearance on Friends. However, he decided to end their fleeting romance due to her insecurities and the intense pressure he felt for her to leave him sooner.
"Why wouldn't I? I wasn't enough; I could never be enough; I was broken, bent, unloved," the actor wrote. "So instead of facing the inevitable agony of losing her, I broke up with the beautiful and brilliant Julia Roberts," Perry shared in his book.
