The twisted scene from a Netflix movie that impacts the world

A thriller film that Netflix released in mid-2021 continues to impact users of the streaming service who choose to browse the catalog during these vacation times. With a controversial story from the beginning, subscribers expressed their rejection on social networks for a twisted scene that occurs as soon as the film begins.

In June of last year, Dos was released, a film that, according to the platform, is located in the drama and intrigue genre. The synopsis presented by Netflix describes: “Two perfect strangers wake up N- and joined at the abdomen. But when they discover the person behind the twisted act, they are even more horrified.”

Despite the anticipation and warning from the streaming service, users who decide to watch it are left in shock. Far from beginning with a gentle introduction to immerse the viewer in the atmosphere of the story, the film begins with an unusually dark image. Following the thread of the synopsis, the first scene shows two people who wake up in the same bed, look at each other without understanding the situation, and quickly realize that they were sewn together.

In this way, the protagonists of the story directed by Mar Targarona, Sara (Marina Gatell) and Dav, id (Pablo Derqui) wake up with painful confusion. Lying on the bed, they cannot make even a tiny movement because it causes unbearable pain.

What horrifies users even more, who until now have endured the beginning of the film without problems, is that despite being cooked and joined through the abdomen, the couple begins to connect physically and ends up having relations.

To make an already twisted introduction worse, Sara and David strangely have an epiphany at the moment of intimacy and realize that they are twins. As it is understood in these initial minutes, they had been separated at birth and, after being lost for a time, they were united, literally, through this strange experiment of which the author is unknown.

“A boring and illogical thriller that lasts an unbearable 71 minutes, and not unbearable in a good way either,” described the specialized media Movie Nation. In addition to the rating made by this website, many other specialists shared their opinions and, on the Rotten Tomatoes site, it received an audience score of only 17%.

In this way, negative criticism rained down on the producers of Dos. Even the review of another of the media dedicated to cinema, Decider, noted: “It is a truly strange film, full of blood, black humor, and mystery, but that scene will haunt me forever. It's a bizarre scene because I suppose it could have been fun and perverted, like the idea of two people succumbing to desire in an intense torture situation has some inherent eroticism, but the incest and the gory ending undo everything entertaining."

In addition to specialized critics, some Internet users expressed their feelings on social networks after seeing the controversial film. In some cases, they directly labeled Two as a disappointment. “The ending does not justify all the effort that the plot exposes its protagonists to,” said one user on Twitter, while another stated: “Don't watch the movie on Netflix called Two, how bad. "It even made me nauseous."

On the other hand, another Internet user with greater tolerance for the strong scenes that Mar Targarona proposes reflected: “It seems disturbing, strange, a nightmare of terror that induces what I like.” In agreement with the latter, another Internet user advised: “Very peculiar, but worth seeing the Spanish short film. Interesting, not for the faint of heart.”
