In February 2023, the family revealed the full diagnosis, announcing that Willis unfortunately suffers from frontotemporal dementia, a rare type of dementia that affects language and personality.
Throughout these months, Willis has received the support of his wife, the model Emma Hemming, who through social networks has shared updates on the actor's illness, an ailment for which he assures that there is no cure. Since the Die Hard actor's diagnosis, his wife has been fully involved in the dissemination of information to make the world aware of everything related to frontotemporal dementia.
After long months without being photographed in public places due to his medical condition, the actor has now made a public appearance and has been seen enjoying a ride through Los Angeles sitting in the passenger seat of a Range Rover.
