Actor Joseph Gatt, who played Thenn Warg in Game of Thrones and the Frost Giant Grundroth in Thor, has appeared in court after being accused of having s-xu@lly explicit conversations online with a minor. Additionally, Gatt has been charged with a second count of possession of an assault weapon.
Accompanied by his girlfriend, Mercy Malick, the hearing took place this October 2 in Los Angeles where Superior Court Judge, Enrique Monguia, has concluded that another hearing will take place on December 4 after the prosecutor in the case, Michael Fern, has stated that "additional discoveries are needed" to continue with the procedure, as confirmed by Daily Mail.
Gatt was arrested last April when the Los Angeles Police Department received information that the actor "had been involved in S- explicit communication on the Internet with a minor across state lines." After police searched his Beverly Hills home, LAPD shared a statement confirming that they were "seeking to identify additional victims."
At the moment, Gatt is free on bail after having made the payment of $5,000, as reported by TMZ. The actor has already spoken out through social networks regarding the accusations that he described as "completely false." The actor also stated that he is cooperating with the Los Angeles Police "to get to the bottom of the matter."
Joseph Gatt took to Twitter to address the recent and utterly baseless allegations made against him. In a categorical statement, he emphasized their complete falsehood and recklessness. He pointed out confirmed errors and misleading information present in the latest press release. Joseph Gatt assured everyone of his full cooperation with the police and the Los Angeles Police Department in resolving this matter. He expressed his eagerness to clear his name from these unfounded accusations.
"Thank you to all my friends and followers who know that this is not true and understand that, for legal reasons, I cannot make any more comments on social networks," the actor concluded.
