Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio have maintained a beautiful friendship for 24 years when they both starred in 'Titanic'

In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Kate revealed that she was recently able to reunite with DiCaprio after almost three years without being able to see each other due to the strict lockdowns imposed by Covid. And like the tragic ending of James Cameron's film, the reunion was heartbreaking. “I couldn't stop crying,” acknowledged the actress, 46. “I've known him for half my life!” she added.
Settled in London and DiCaprio in New York, the acting couple has had to wait for the restrictions to be eased to be able to see each other. “We haven't had a chance to have dinner or coffee and catch up,” Winslet explained. “We haven't been able to leave our countries. Like so many friends around the world, we've missed each other because of the pandemic.” "He is my great friend. We are united for life," added the actress.
Winslet met DiCaprio in the 90s while they were working together on Titanic and although it was a very hard filming for both of them, the sacrifice was worth it. After playing Rose and Jack, the actors met again in Revolutionary Road, where they played a married couple fighting for their relationship. Despite the chemistry that both have shown behind the screen, Kate has made it clear, on more than one occasion, that there was never any attraction between them, but only a beautiful friendship.
