Linda, Yoko, Barbara, Pattie... They were also Beatles

The figure of Yoko Ono is well known to everyone. There are many who accuse the Japanese conceptual artist of having been decisive in the breakup of the 'fab four'.

Linda, Yoko, Barbara, Pattie... They were also Beatles

The controversial Japanese woman met the band's leader in 1966 and they both said yes in Gibraltar in 1969. They had a son named Sean and were together until the murder of the Imagine singer in December 1980.

What few know is that in Lennon's life there was a previous wife and a lover with whom the great artist cheated on Yoko. The Beatles leader's first wife, Cinthya Powell Lennon, was married to John from 1962 to 1968 (yes, she cheated on him with Yoko). They both had a son: Julian.

But John was unfaithful by nature and also cheated on the eccentric Yoko. In 1973 Lennon began a romantic relationship with the couple's personal assistant: May Pang. This woman, also of Japanese origin, continued her affair with Lennon for 18 months, a time he later referred to as her "Lost Weekend." Pang wrote about her affair in a memoir titled 'Loving John'.

Paul's four wives

The first important woman in Paul McCartney's life was Jane Asher, a young actress who met the author of "Yesterday" after a successful concert of the band in London and whom he was about to marry. They got engaged at Christmas 1967 but by summer they had broken up.

The reason for the breakup was none other than the appearance of Linda Eastman, who would end up becoming Mrs. McCartney in 1969. The couple had three children (one of them the prestigious fashion designer Stella McCartney) and remained together until 1998. when Linda died of cancer. The blonde was part of the group 'Wings' with her husband, which had numerous hits during the 70s and 80s, and was a well-known activist of vegetarian culture.

Shortly after becoming widowed, Paul began a relationship with model Heather Mills. The mannequin, known for her handicap (she lost a leg in an accident), had a controversial relationship with the former Beatle since the artist's children never accepted her. The singer and the stunning model married in 2002 and separated five years later in a high-profile breakup that cost the Liverpool man a whopping $68 million. The couple had a daughter: Beatrice.

After his divorce from Heather Mills, Paul rebuilt his love life with Nancy Shevell. After four years of relationship, the couple said I do just a year ago.

Ringo Starr, a brunette and a blonde

The drummer of the Liverpool quartet was married for five years (from 1965 to 1970) to Maureen Starkey. John and George were the groomsmen at the ceremony. Paul did not attend the wedding because he was on vacation.

Ten years after separating from Maureen, Ringo met actress Barbara Bach on the set of the film “The Caveman”, known for her role as a Bond girl in the film “The Spy Who Loved Me”. Today they remain happily married.

George Harrison: an ex-wife and a widow

The band's guitarist met his first wife, Pattie Boyd, on the filming of the movie “What a Night That Day,” one of the films starring The Beatles and where she played an extra. They married in 1966 with Paul as best man and divorced in the early 1970s.

Olivia Trinidad Areas was the Beatle's last wife besides his widow. She was working as a secretary at a record company when she met George in 1974. They had a son named Dhani who was born in the summer of 1978. A few days later the couple said "I do." They stayed together until George's tragic death from throat cancer in 2001.
