Meghan Markle has accompanied Prince Harry and the other members of the Royal Family in the transfer of Elizabeth II from Buckingham to Westminster
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry traveled to Buckingham Palace to receive, along with the Royal Family, the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who had staged a public reunion with the Prince and Princess of Wales, arrived by car shortly before the procession arrived with the monarch's mortal remains.
It was that we were able to see the dukes accompanying both King Charles and the rest of the members in one of the most emotional and difficult moments for the family.
Protocol dictated that both Meghan Markle and the Princess of Wales or the Queen Consort travel by car on the journey from Buckingham Palace to Westminster with the mortal remains of Queen Elizabeth II. A transfer full of symbolism for the Royal Family and one in which we have been able to see the Duchess of Sussex closer and more integrated than ever. While Kate Middleton traveled in the same car as Queen Camilla, Meghan did so with Sophie of Wessex, in a different vehicle and without the company of Harry, who did the parade on foot with his father, his brother and his uncles.
Already inside Westminster, she has placed herself next to the British royal family. Next to Harry and very close to William and Kate, Meghan Markle was present at the ceremony that was held there.
Once again it has become clear that the sad loss of Queen Elizabeth has been the trigger they needed to face a highly anticipated reconciliation. For months, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had not appeared in public with the British royal family. It was at a mass related to the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II held last June when they met with Harry's family. Now this has happened again and it has happened in one of the saddest situations.
