In an interview with Vogue magazine, Jolie bared her emotions, shedding light on the enduring consequences that she and her children faced following the highly publicized separation from Brad Pitt.

The actress attributed her reduced involvement in films over the past seven years to the tumultuous divorce, explaining, "I started working less in film seven years ago, only accepting jobs that did not require long shoots. We had a lot to heal. We are still finding our balance." Although she did not explicitly mention her ex-husband, the timeline of her decreased film activity aligns with the exact seven-year mark since their divorce in September 2016.

Jolie expressed, "In some ways, I don't feel like I've been myself for a decade." She acknowledged facing periods of depression and discouragement but chose not to delve into specific details surrounding her emotional journey.

Over the last seven years, Jolie's filmography has been notably limited, with only three projects to her name, including the 2019 sequel to 'Maleficent,' the 2021 Marvel Studios film 'Eternals,' and the 2021 thriller 'Those Who Wish Me Dead.' Despite these projects, she appeared to live somewhat apart from the Hollywood spotlight, a perception fueled by her foray into the fashion world with her clothing brand, Antelier Jolie. The brand is characterized by its commitment to social and environmental awareness.

Jolie shared insights into her newfound focus, stating, "I think part of this has been therapeutic for me as well: working in a creative space with people you trust and rediscovering yourself. I hope to change many aspects of my life."

Reflecting on her clothing brand, she emphasized the importance of empowering women through fashion: "Sometimes the way you dress says, 'Don't mess with me, I have my armor.' But I want a woman to feel safe enough to be able to feel cool."
