Mick Jagger, legend of the Rolling Stones, turns 80 with the same energy as always

A rock icon is celebrating. Mick Jagger, lead singer of the Rolling Stones, turns 80. They have been filling stadiums for more than 60 years. He celebrates his birthday without slowing down. With the same energy as always. He is now preparing a new tour and new album with his bandmates. The artist has shared a youthful image on his Instagram account to celebrate his birthday. It's been eight decades after many excesses and managing to fight the coronavirus and heart surgery.

Mick Jagger is more alive than ever and will soon release a new album. A wave of singers and musicians have wanted to pay tribute to the immortal of rock and roll. The official Twitter account of the Rolling Stones has celebrated the date with a loving congratulations accompanied by a video of his best moments.

At 80 years old, the musician has planned, according to 'The Daily Mirror', a big celebration at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London: a place founded in 1673 with large grounds that are now managed by a charitable foundation, and with capacity to accommodate 300 guests. His Stones colleagues, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, will attend the party. There will also be Bill Wyman - their bassist from 1962 to 1993 -, who recently collaborated with the group on their next album, dedicated to the late drummer Charlie Watts.

Jagger has publicly commented that as you get older "you think more about the moment when it's your turn (to die) than when you were young." However, the rock legend maintains his energy. For the 60th anniversary of the Rolling Stones, the band went on a European tour in 2022.

Born in Dartford (English county of Kent), on July 26, 1943, Mick Jagger's passion for music began when he was a teenager who earned brilliant grades and was about to enroll at the prestigious London School Of Economics (LSE). Decades and decades later, the singer remains one of the most revered figures in rock.

With the Rolling Stones, the singer has sold more than 200 million records and has released 24 albums, the latest, "GRRR" last year. Among his awards cabinet are two Grammys, albums such as 'Beggars Banquet' (1968), 'Sticky Fingers' (1971) and 'Exile on Main St.' (1972). As a soloist he has collaborated, among others, with people like 'The Jacksons' on the single 'State Of Schock' (1984), Tina Turner on "Live Aid" and with David Bowie on the video clip 'Dancing in the street'.
