Country musician Keith Urban has unveiled the most personal aspects of his relationship with renowned actress Nicole Kidman in the lyrics of his latest song.
The couple, married for twelve years, continues to maintain a passionate love life, as expressed in the first single from Urban's upcoming album, Gemini.
The lyrics have stirred controversy as Urban openly sings, "She is a maniac in bed, but very cerebral," highlighting both the s-nsual and intellectual sides of his wife. The song further describes Kidman's allure, noting, "She's amazing in that dress, but she's gorgeous even when she's a mess."
The singer doesn't hold back, concluding with the revelation, "She wakes me up in the middle of the night to make love."
Addressing the response to the song, Urban shared with the Daily Telegraph that it's a "simple, fun, and song about my wife." Initially hesitant, he sought advice from his lyricist, who described Kidman as a Gemini but clarified, "She is not contradictory; she can do everything."
While Urban admitted that he wouldn't have felt comfortable writing such explicit lyrics in the past, he now sees no issue in expressing his feelings about Kidman. "If I think all that about her, what's the problem?" he added.
The couple, married since 2006 with two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, continues to showcase their enduring love after more than a decade together. Nicole Kidman was previously married to actor Tom Cruise before her current relationship with Keith Urban.
