Eugenie of York has decided to follow in the footsteps of her cousin, Prince Harry, by moving into her residence
It is the news of the last few hours within the British royal house. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to hand over their residence in the United Kingdom, Frogmore Cottage, to Eugenie of York and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who have already been living there for a few weeks.
As confirmed by The Sun, the couple moved into the residence that Queen Elizabeth II gave to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after sending her belongings to California, where last July they bought a home.
A movement with which Prince Harry has made clear the good relationship he has with his cousin, Eugenia de York. The two have gotten along well throughout their lives and used to party together when they were younger.
What's more, according to the biography Finding Freedom, the daughter of the Duke of York was the first member of the royal family to meet Meghan Markle and both couples soon began going on double dates together.
With this decision, Eugenia of York and Jack Brooksbank follow in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Like them, she has moved to Frogmore Cottage during her pregnancy in order for her child to have as normal a life as possible. “Eugenia knows that a title can be both a curse and a blessing, and she and Jack want her children to live a normal life and work for a living in the future. Titles don't matter to them, they just want a healthy and happy child,” a family friend confirmed to Vanity Fair last September.
Exactly the same reason led Meghan and Harry to leave Nottingham Cottage and move to Frogmore Cottage. The couple wanted their son to live in a more isolated environment and renovated the house with 2.4 million pounds (2.7 million euros) from the public coffers which, after Megxit, they have returned. Of course, it seems that two years after making this decision, the couple's future is outside the United Kingdom.
