The American presenter would be pulling strings so that the ex-couple finally see each other face to face.
For five years, the world was fascinated by the couple that formed Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. The actors perfectly exemplified the idea of #powercouple: they were young, attractive and influential. And people saw in them a model of behavior that they should follow.
But, as always happens, good things fade and love almost always does too. In 2005, Pitt left his wife to live with actress Angelina Jolie: they had met during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and the attraction between them was immediate.
A year later, Pitt became Jolie's new husband. They formed an even brighter couple than the previous one; the press referred to them as #Brangelina. Then W Magazine published a report in which the couple acted as if they had traveled to the 1950s and had a brood of model children in their care.
After that, women around the world empathized with Aniston, and most Hollywood celebrities opted for her or her antagonist, Jolie, in a rather turn of events. No sign of Pitt in the fight. In any case, t-shirts with the team you supported became a trend, and Paris Hilton and his sister allowed themselves to be photographed with them.
Last September, the tabloids announced the separation between Pitt and Jolie. Since then, the actor, who has acknowledged his problems with alcohol, has begun treating his addictions by going to therapy (and closing open wounds).
In January, Pitt apologized after a decade to his ex-wife. Life & Style magazine collected Aniston's impressions, who responded well to the actor's gesture. “She willingly accepted her apology. A new stage has begun between them,” said a source close to the actress.
And if a few months ago the idea of the ex-couple speaking again was unthinkable, now the possibility of a (public) meeting is closer every day. This was announced exclusively by the RadarOnline publication: the meeting would take place on Jimmy Kimmel's late night and the chances of it happening are quite high.
The presenter would be the best person to bring the two together because he “is a person very close to Jen, but also to Pitt's disciples, Peter Dante and David Fincher,” a close source has assured. Additionally, Kimmel wants the actor to know that he will always be welcome on his show. “Brad is a priority for Jimmy. “He wants his show to be Brad’s first stop from now on.”
What there is no doubt is that the rapprochement between the two and the increasing distance between Jolie and Pitt makes the meeting feasible. “Brad is no longer dating Angelina, which is why Jimmy thinks this could happen. “He is very close to Jen and she trusts him,” they warn.
