In a raw account, Meghan Markle revealed how she felt after being "the most trolled (aggrieved) person" in the world because of her strained relationship with the British tabloids.
The Duchess of Sussex admitted that it was an "almost unbeatable" experience.
Weeks ago, Prince Harry and Meghan talked about how to eliminate stigmas related to mental health, in an interview for the Teenager Therapy podcast that was picked up by Hello! magazine.
While discussing her own mental health, Meghan revealed the experience she endured when she was on maternity leave with her son Archie, who was born in May 2019.
"In 2019 they told me that I was the most trolled person in the world. It was almost insurmountable," observed the former actress. "It's something so big, you can't imagine what it feels like.
I don't care if you're 15 or 25, if people say things about you that aren't true, what that does to your mental and emotional health." It is very harmful," he revealed.
Meghan took the opportunity to talk about the work she has been doing in this regard: "Part of the work we do is talking to people from our experience.
Even though each person has unique experiences, they are still a human experience and that is universal. We all know what it feels like when our feelings are hurt, when we are isolated, and when we need someone to talk to."
The constant media scrutiny to which the couple was subjected in the United Kingdom was one of the reasons that motivated her to decide to move to live in the United States.
