Now, his ex-wife has returned to work as an actress and she has opened up about her fear of change but she is excited for the future.

In September 2023, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness announced in a statement that they were separating after 27 years together and two children together.

"We have been fortunate to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful and loving marriage. Our journey is now changing and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth," they explained then.

The news surprised all of Hollywood since it was a very solid couple. Since the breakup, much has been said about their current relationship and even about the strict confidentiality agreement that Jackman wanted Furness to sign so that he would not talk about her privacy.

In recent months Hugh has been dedicated to his work and recently finished filming Deedpool 3 where we saw him again as Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds.

And, Deborra has decided to resume her career as an actress after many years away from it. Thus, Deborra is part of the cast of the Australian film Force of Nature: The Dry 2, starring Eric Bana, for which she is currently promoting.

"I have a few projects up my sleeve, I'm working on a script with Rebecca Rigg, which I want to direct and act in," she explains to Yahoo Lifestyle about her future plans.

Although, he has also confessed to The Daily Telegraph how he has felt in this new stage: "You know what, change, transition, evolution are a little scary and we are all a little afraid, but I think it is probably our greatest gift ". “It's exciting,” she says with positivity and excitement for what's to come.

Regarding the filming of the film, she assures that it was "challenging" since it was outdoors almost all the time: "Look, it was difficult!" She states sincerely. "It's raining and there are trees hitting you in the face and you fall, and it's very cold and [there are] leeches. So, yeah, it was a challenge."
