The young royal celebrated the special day with his mother Meghan Markle and his sister, Princess Lilibet, at their home in California, because his father, Prince Harry, could not be there, having traveled to the United Kingdom to attend. to his father's coronation. However, his trip was quick, and the duke quickly returned home to make sure he didn't miss all of his son's celebrations.

The bicycle that he will share with Lilibet

The store's owner, Jennifer Blevins, said her British partner, Martin, woke up spontaneously on May 6 wanting to give the young royal a gift.

Prince Archie received a bike from Montecito-based Mad Dogs and Englishmen Bike Shop.

The bike came with balloons tied to the handlebars, a card and a bouquet of flowers for Meghan Markle, to make sure Archie received the gift on his special day.

“He went and bought one of our specialized little kids' bikes, they're really nice little bikes, and he said, 'This one is perfect, it has training wheels,'” Blevins told PEOPLE.

"So he went and bought some birthday balloons, and he bought some flowers for Meghan and a birthday card, and he said, 'Okay, I'm going to ride my bike and take him to her house.'"

The business owner encountered some difficulties when trying to give the gift to Archie, but after confirming his identity, Sussex's security team passed the gift on.

Harry and Meghan appear to have been delighted by the thoughtful gesture and responded by sending them a special letter of thanks, which the company later shared on their Instagram.

The letter read: “On behalf of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, please accept their sincere thanks for the thoughtful gift you sent to Prince Archie on his fourth birthday.

“The bicycle has brought a lot of joy and is greatly appreciated by the family. “They asked me to convey their gratitude for the beautiful surprise.”

The letter was then signed by Harrison Colcord, who is part of Meghan and Harry's team.

Blevins said he was stunned to receive the letter, adding: “A courier stopped by our little store on Coast Village Road and left that letter. He was joking, I said, “It better be a thank you letter,' and he really was!”

"I did not expect that. I had no idea. “It was very thoughtful because, you know, they took the time to write something personal and not just a generic thank you.”

Likewise, they hope that Lilibet will also benefit from the gift as she grows, saying: “Her little sister will also be able to enjoy it as she grows, it will be one that they both like.”

On May 6, Archie celebrated his birthday in the United States with Meghan and her little sister, Princess Lilibet.

Prince Harry attended the coronation celebrations on his son's birthday, but left shortly after the service, apparently wanting to get home in time to celebrate Archie's big day with the 8-hour time difference.

Meghan threw Archie a “private celebration” at her Montecito home, where the Duchess baked her son a special lemon cake.

On Sunday, June 4, Meghan and Harry's youngest daughter, Princess Lilibet, turned two years old. No details of how the family spent the day have been released, and the couple did not share a photo of the young woman to mark her special day.
