Meghan Markle reappears, with Prince Harry, to receive an award for her feminist work

Although her name was one of the most popular when the historic coronation of Charles III was celebrated, Meghan Markle did not accompany Prince Harry and, therefore, she did not personally witness what happened at Westminster Abbey.

Her public appearances have been few since the broadcast of the documentary in which she stars alongside the Duke of Sussex on Netflix and in which she addresses the obstacles they have encountered since her relationship became public.

Furthermore, her statements added to those of Prince William's brother in 'Spare', her autobiographical book, have made the actress choose to remain in a discreet background Until now.

As planned, Markle attended the Women of Vision Awards gala, organized by The Ms. Foundation and held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York, as the winner. She did so radiating happiness and accompanied by two of the most important people in her life: her husband, Prince Harry, and her mother, Doria Ragland.

For this occasion, the Duchess of Sussex chose a gold design by Colombian Johanna Ortiz with a spectacular and elegant sweetheart neckline that leaves her shoulders and arms exposed - the original price of this dress amounts to 1,500 euros.

Meghan couldn't hide her happiness. Even more so because she was awarded for “her global advocacy to empower and advocate on behalf of women and girls.” From the Ms. Foundation website they noted, the day they announced that she was one of the winners, that the actress is "a feminist, defender of human rights and gender equality, and a global role model" and that " “her lifelong advocacy for women and girls remains a constant thread weaving through humanitarian and commercial enterprises.”

Amidst cheers and applause, the Duchess of Sussex received the award from her friend and co-founder of the Ms. Foundation, Gloria Steinem, whom she thanked for the great work she does and expressed that, for her, she was "an inspiration. for your wise advice, your extraordinarily cheeky sense of humor and your wonderful friendship. But this was only the beginning of a speech in which he did not hesitate to talk about his childhood, the plans he had when he got home after school and the memory he keeps of when he turned on the television to watch 'Jeopardy' and watched copies of the Ms. magazine that his mother had on the table.

I remember them because the photos that appeared were very different. There was a diversity that I had never seen before, both in color and age...," Markle slipped before adding that "there were congressmen, astronauts... They dealt with diverse topics: motherhood, working mothers and more delicate topics, such as violence domestic, the poverty line and equity issues. Those copies "remained in my mind, and now I can better understand how I became a young feminist and evolved into an adult activist."

Once her speech was over, the star of 'Suits' left the popular place where top-level events are held with Prince Harry. She did it holding hands, smiling and with a large number of bodyguards who made sure there were no mishaps and they reached the vehicle without any problem.
