OMG! Meghan Compelled To Pay $300k As Clevr Blends CEO Blames Her Damaging Ad For Brand's Decline

Megan Markle has ventured back into her acting roots, starring in a social media ad for the American coffee brand Clever, in which she holds a part ownership.

OMG! Meghan Compelled To Pay $300k As Clevr Blends CEO Blames Her Damaging Ad For Brand's Decline

Clever positions itself as offering superpowered lattes designed for energy, stress relief, and better sleep. The Instagram ad, featuring Clever founder Hannah Mendoza, showcases The Duchess working at Clever offices, handling computer tasks, packing boxes, and running errands.

However, social media responses have been less than favorable, with users labeling it as cringey and jokingly suggesting it's the most work Megan has done all year.

Critics have not held back, with one user describing the ad as "cringey" and another noting it as "pathetic," considering Megan's high-profile Hollywood connections. Despite the backlash, Clever has gained attention for being included in Oprah Winfrey's list of Favorite Things, marking another development in the media mogul's collaboration with Megan and Harry since their departure from the royal family.

While the move to the US may have ruffled feathers in the UK, the couple's financial gains through partnerships with Netflix, Spotify, and Harry's memoir have been substantial.

Clever's founder, Hannah Mendoza, has praised Megan for being the company's first investor, advisor, and significant advocate. Reports from UK newspapers indicate that Megan could now command up to $45,000 for a single social media endorsement.

However, drama unfolds as Clever's products hit the shelves at Target in the United States. Megan's appearance in the ad is questioned as the sole reason for Clever's sales boost, with skepticism about its impact on the product's success.

Rumors circulate that Clever Blends has experienced a sales decline of around 30% since Megan's commercial aired, leading to frustration from CEO Hannah Mendoza. Allegedly, Mendoza demanded $300,000 in compensation, attributing Megan's advertising to damage to the brand. Speculation intensifies, suggesting that Megan is ready to step back and let Prince Harry take the lead in their next business venture.

Reports indicate that Megan, feeling stressed due to failed deals, may be leaning on Harry to take on a more prominent role. Contrary to earlier rumors, an insider dismisses claims of Megan partnering with a French fashion house, indicating that her return to acting and business is facing unexpected challenges.
