In a joyous revelation Patrick Schwarzenegger, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Abby Champion during the festive period.
The 'Stowaway' actor proposed with a meaningful 'Toi et Moi' ring, adorned with two diamonds symbolizing the enduring bond between "You and Me."
Sharing a collection of professionally captured moments from the special occasion on Instagram, Abby expressed her happiness in the caption, declaring their love to be eternal. Patrick's mother, Maria Shriver, enthusiastically commented, "Yippee bravo, we are all so happy for you, for your love, for your now, for your future. Your love is inspiring joy, joy, joy."
Prior to his relationship with Abby, 26, Patrick briefly dated pop star Miley Cyrus, 31. Both Patrick and Abby were associated with the same modeling agency, Next Models in Los Angeles.
In a separate narrative, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former bodybuilder and actor, opened up about his stern parenting style. Reflecting on his disciplinary approach, he recounted making Patrick endure freezing cold showers and even tossing his son's mattress out of the window when he was nine for refusing to make his bed.
Recalling the incident, Arnold stated, “I opened up the door to the balcony, picked up the mattress and threw it down with the bedsheets, the pillows, everything. I said, ‘Don’t ever make someone come in and clean your room, clean your shower, or make your bed.’ I said, ‘Because I taught you how to make the bed.’”
Arnold also revealed his disapproval of Patrick's long, hot showers during his upbringing. Instituting a strict shower regimen, Arnold limited his son to five minutes of shower time, even installing a shower with a timer that switched to cold water after a designated period.
Detailing the experience, Arnold explained, “In Munich, they have the showers that have those timers that people put money into and then after the money ran out, the cold water came out. I said, ‘I’m going to get one like that,’ and that’s exactly what I got. And so when he got the shower on and he was whistling and singing in there and thinking daddy’s not around, all of a sudden the ice-cold shower came on.
