Prince Harry has been one of the most controversial figures of British royalty, since Princess Diana's son resigned from the royal family and decided to live a life away from its demands and be filled with love with his wife, the actress American Markle.
Now, Prince Harry has made shocking revelations about the death of his mother, Lady Di.
Almost 27 years after her death in a traffic accident, his son expressed several observations about such a saddening event. In his book “Spare” he says that he visited the tunnel where his mother's accident occurred and asked to cross the place at the same speed that his mother did.
“We reached the mouth of the tunnel and drove over the pothole at the entrance to the tunnel that supposedly ran Mom's Mercedes off the road. But the blow was nothing. Practically, we don't even feel it,” he wrote, adding his driver's reaction. “Is this all?” It's not a big deal. “Just a straight tunnel.”
He thought that by passing by the accident site he would release a little of the pain that he still feels today, but in reality it did not change anything and even intensified the feeling more.
Likewise, he confessed that during Lady Di's funeral he could only cry once and felt guilty for not being able to show his emotions in public, an aspect of his personality that would have been forged by his strict upbringing.
He felt bad shaking hands with thousands of citizens crying over the death of his mother, while he and his brother were unable to openly show his grief.
“There were 50,000 bouquets of flowers for our mother and there we were, shaking people's hands, smiling.”
